The 2023-2024 PTO Meeting Schedule will be shared soon so stayed tuned!
PTO Meetings are on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. unless noted otherwise.
The Flatirons PTO is dedicated to supporting our school community and our students' education in many ways. While a key role of the PTO is to raise funds to support this effort, caregivers have many opportunities to be involved, besides the fundraising effort itself. Much of our fundraising efforts are sent directly to the classroom to fund teacher classroom support, exciting and inspiring school assemblies, and field trips. Additionally, we try to support requests made by the staff to help them provide an ultimate learning experience for our children. We coordinate many volunteer activities and events, provide a forum for communication between families and staff, and serve as a caregiver-based liaison between our school and the District. The Flatirons PTO meets monthly during the school year to review events and activities, make budget decisions and share in the success of our fabulous elementary school.

Flatirons PTO Financial Request Policy and Procedures
This policy is intended to give a clear method and timeline for monies requested of the PTO by teachers, groups, individuals, staff, and administrators. Want to get involved in the PTO and be a part of the behind-the-scenes event planning, activities & financial decisions that affect every student at Flatirons? Please fill out the PTO Volunteer Form and turn it in at the front office and we will get you connected to programs/committees that most interest you!
Our Fundraising Philosophy: The Flatirons Annual Giving Campaign
The Flatirons Annual Giving Campaign is the name for our school’s unique fundraising effort. Each family is asked for an annual tax-deductible donation. 100% of this money is used to support our children's education. The majority (75%) pays to have para-professionals in our classrooms which greatly increases our teacher-to-child ratio. The remainder pays for: classroom supplies and equipment, curriculum enrichment (assemblies, field trips), staff training, before and after school clubs and programs (Chess Club, Running Club, Math Olympiads, Fearless Falcons, and more), and community events (Garden-to-Table, Fall Festival, Ice Skating party...).
