Leadership

Welcome to Flatirons Elementary school website!

We are so glad you stopped by to check out our website!  If you've had the opportunity to visit Flatirons Elementary in person, you may have observed that we are a smaller school with exceptional resources and strong support from our Flatirons community.

The partnership between staff and parents is critical to giving each child a positive learning experience.  At Flatirons, we have over 100 parents volunteering in some capacity at school-- in classrooms, in the library, at school events, or on field trips.  We are so thankful for a strong and vibrant PTO that bolsters student and staff resources, providing for paraeducators, assemblies, technology, field trips and more.

Teachers participate in extensive professional development throughout the year and regularly meet in grade-level teams to ensure consistency in grade-level curriculum.  Creative thinking is encouraged via Project-Based Learning, as we endeavor to inspire students to be lifelong learners-- curious, creative, analytical, adaptable and motivated to fulfill their highest potential.

As a No Place for Hate school, Flatirons strives to be a bias-free environment.  We value diverse family systems, races, cultures, religions, genders, and abilities, fostering an inclusive environment where a true sense of belonging to the classroom, school, and community is nurtured in each student.

We are so excited about developing programs that promote academic, social, and emotional success for our students -- check out the rest of our site to see what’s happening.  Better yet, come by and experience all that we have to offer at Flatirons Elementary!

Sincerely,

Scott Boesel
